October Show and Tell

While the totals were being added up by the treasurer and her team, the rest of us enjoyed some show and tell. It was short but sweet, with Elizabeth and Mary starting us off with these cute little baby quilts.

Betty Jean made this sweet contemporary looking piece.

That's Tambra peeking out from the top of this Gallazy Star quilt.

Zohra shared this holiday collage made from fabric and lace. I'm always excited to see what Zohra will bring in next.

Thanks again for sharing your talent ladies.

October General Meeting

October was our silent auction day which is our major fundraiser for the year. The more money we make, the more we get to spend on our programing. This year the members went all out. We had paper pieced wall hangings, handmade wooden items, baked goods and all kinds of other wonderful things.

We also picked the winner of our first ever raffle quilt, the proceeds of which go into the comfort quilts fund. Here's one more look at the quilt and MaryLou, the comfort quilt chair and Anita, program chair picking the winning ticket.

And the winner is . . . . Lisa, who is none other than our treasurer Bonney's daughter. Here's Bonnie on the right furiously adding up all our totals for the silent auction, oblivious to the excitement going on in the front of the room. Congratulations Lisa!!
