August program - member Deb Mencarelli presented a trunk show of many of her quilts from her first to recent.  She loves holiday quilts to decorate her home.  She showed a variety from large bed quilts to mantle quilts, wall hangings and table runners.

July's meeting several members demoed techniques.  

Joyce showed how to machine sew a binding.

Jeannie shared a variety of patterns that can be achieved with the X block.

Wilma showed how to insert a narrow accent border.

Dee showed how to paper piece units for a milliforie quilt.

Jean demoed an easy way to machine quilt with a walking foot.

July Show and Tell

Marilyn did not finish her quilt in time for last month's challenge but plans to make it larger.

Mary finished her tree from last year's class.

This is only one of several kid quilts Sue made and donated.

Teresa had planned to make more of these cute dogs and stopped with one because of all the work.   He is adorable.

 and her challenge quilt from June.

June's meeting was our annual picnic and the 2017 Challenge entries.  
The viewers choice winner was made Joanne Westphal.

May's meeting featured Jennifer Amor, from Jennifer Amor Designs, Columbia SC. Amor is an internationally known quilt artist, teacher, and designer and  shared her own designs in a trunk show.

Raffle Quilt to benefit Comfort Quilts

Here is this year's raffle quilt also showing the back and close up of the quilting.  It finishes at 65" by 92" so would be great for a twin bed.

April Show and Tell

Anita shared her quilt made in the workshop from last month. 

Betty shared a quilt that started with a Pizza Girl kit.

Betty Jean shared t-shirts quilts she made for clients.

Bonney has been busy finishing up quilts.

Jolene shared a quilt gift for a military family.

 Marilyn shared her Dutch Puzzle quilt.

Missy showed a wedding quilt on which guests signed and wrote notes.

Anita also shared the scholarship raffle quilt for QSC. 

April Trunk Show from The Pizza Girls

They shared numerous quilts and ideas for using various templates and blocks. Some simple units with striking results.

This mock pineapple quilt used the 60 degree ruler
 and so does Magic Lanterns.

These are kaleidoscope blocks.

Vickie M is working on this quilt to be a raffle quilt next fall for the Orangeburg guild.

Carol Sommers finished her Quilt Mavens round robin from 2010. 

Carol did the ribbon embroidery in the center block.  
Teresa Coolidge did special custom quilting for it.

Unofficial count on pillowcases and bags was 174.
