July's Show and Tell

Here are some of the beautiful quilts shown for show and tell at July's general meeting.

Looks like Rosina has been very busy with Comfort Quilts.

Dorothy has been working on some UFO's, showing a sampler quilt, a Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt and two lap quilts for her children,

 Sandra has finished another art quilt.

 Marlene (on the left) has appliquéd her apple core quilt.

Anita modeled her husband Verne's handiwork with discharge techniques.

Jeanne shared a table runner with us.

Sandy showed a sweet baby quilt.

Verity shared her Trip Around the World.

Vicki brought in the following two quilts.

I believe that Sue is hiding behind these two lovely quilts.

I wish I had gotten a close up of Elizabeth's quilt. She has quilted a lovely leaf pattern on it that she got from Leah Day. It took a lot of time she said but it was well worth the effort.

Paula shared a QOV quilt, a baby quilt, a jelly roll quilt and several pieces from her dying exploits.

And finally, Linda brought in this beautiful bed quilt with a piano key border.

What a bunch of talented ladies we have in our group!!

Jelly Roll Race

After the general meeting in March some of our members got together for an After-After to make jelly roll quilts. Turning it into a race made it a bit more exciting.

In second place was Linda S.

And the winner is . . . . Judy L. who finished in about 45 minutes! Here's Judy holding her finished quilt top with Jean M. helping her on the left. Comfort Quilts

A number of quilters met on Tuesday, Mar. 25 to work on Comfort Quilts.  There was a lot of sorting and folding going on.

Linda and Elizabeth organized the fabric into bins in order to have an organized way to use the pieces in the future.

Sandra brought her felting machine and used it to put together pieces of batting.  This was a fast and easy way to use up the smaller pieces.  Thanks, Sandra!

Then the ladies started the sandwiching process.

And Jane was busy cutting pieces for more kits.
All that work was followed by a delicious lunch of soup and trimmings.
